Miss Dottie Langdon, Toddler Teacher
 As the youngest child in a large family, Dottie has always been surrounded with nieces and nephews. Consequently, she began babysitting at a young age. Although her original choice of a career was not a childcare provider, she believed that being at home for her children was the best for her family. To supplement their family income, she began a home based center with five children including her own. After nine years and many children later, her youngest was nearing school age. It was time for her to reenter the world of the working mother. With the experience gained having cared for a variety of children, she felt the best fit for her was to continue in child care. Sixteen years later, she still finds it fascinating to watch these little ones achieve milestones as they develop into little individuals.
In 2000, Dottie completed the Apprenticeship for Child Development Specialist certificate sponsored by the West Virginia Department of Labor. After being employed by Place of Grace ELC, she completed the WV Infant and Toddler Training. Since then she has been receiving periodic training through the WV State Training and Registry System (S.T.A.R.S.).
Dottie married Dan, her high school crush, and together they have had the privilege of raising their three daughters, Katherine, Christine, and Corialise. She has one grandchild, Elizabeth, who lives with her mother, Katherine, in the Sacramento, CA area. Christine and her husband, Adam, are residents of Morgantown. Soon completing her sophomore year at WVU, Corialise lives at home.
Dottie is very active in her church, serving in leadership capacities, as well as teaching teens. Dottie's hobbies include sewing, reading, crossword puzzles, and family game nights around their dining room table.
